Jon has over 20 years’ experience in R&D and Engineering management roles in the UK and USA. Past roles have been in several industries including Medical, Automotive and Industrial sectors.
He is the inventor on many patents some of which have led to products selling 100’s of millions of units globally

Jonathan Swift
Managing Director
Stuart oversees the Commercial activity in SGTec. He is responsible for managing both Sales and Supply Chain functions within the business.
Stuart started his working life in Engineering and served an apprenticeship with Babcock Energy. He then developed his career in a variety of positions within industrial, civil and structural engineering.
After joining SGTec in 1995, his close work with customers made the transition into a technical sales role a natural one. Following this Stuart successfully fulfilled a wide range of roles based around business development and today is still involved on a daily basis with key customers.

Responsible for Magnetics Research.
John Lead SG Technologies as Managing Director from 2013 to 2023
He has 37 years continuous experience in Magnetic Materials – both permanent and soft magnetics, their applications and characterisation. He has numerous publications on the subject.
He has served on the Magnetism Group Committee of the IoP, as a founder and future Chairman of the UK Magnetics Society. John has served on IECTC68 for magnetic materials and as an Expert on the funding panel for EPSRC.
He has a degree in Physics from Aston University.
John Taylor
Head of Research
Responsibility for the development and delivery of the overall SGTec operational strategy. Karen has over 20 years of experience in Quality and Operational management roles in Malta and UK.
Past roles have been in automotive, aerospace and life science industries. These range from niche, premium and bespoke to high volume technical products.
She has a proven track record of improving manufacturing productivity through efficiency gains. Karen excels in lean manufacturing and change management.
Karen Burden
Operations Director
Responsibility for all Quality and Process Engineering aspects at SGTec.
Steven has 30 years’ experience in the technical development, implementation and production of high volume, high specification components to modern automotive Quality Standards such as IATF16949.
Steven is a professional Metallurgist and a trained Six Sigma black belt and has specialisations in injection moulding and bonded magnet manufacture.
He has a degree in Metallurgy and Materials from Birmingham University

Director of Quality and Process Engineering
Nicola holds responsibility for the financial reporting of SGTec, both externally and internally and all matters relating to cashflow.
Nicola has worked within Accountancy for 13 years predominantly within the engineering and manufacturing industries, but also has experience in not for profit and service organisations.
Her passions in work are around systems and business reporting and how these can be used to streamline processes and inform management decision making.
Outside of work, Nicola enjoys walking in the countryside with her dog and separating her sons during lightsabre battles.

Responsibility for leading HR strategies and initiatives to ensure that they support SGTec's overall business needs.
Heloisa has over 13 years of diverse human resources and management experience gained from start-ups and established organizations in UK, Portugal and Angola.
Working across Public and Private sectors, past roles have been in several industries including Transport and Logistics, Financial Services and Retail. Heloisa has overseen, advised and supported in all areas of HR.
